Richard experienced many difficulties throughout his childhood, and his passion and mission is to give other children in his country the opportunities he fought so hard for during the early years of his life. He believes in the power of collaboration, hard work and education to change the world – one village at a time.

Robert is a childhood friend of Richard’s, and was inspired by Richard’s big heart and willingness to share the little he had with his friends and neighbors. The best part about Robert’s life so far has been supporting people (especially oppressed women) to transform the quality of their lives through empowerment.

Bright loves to see Adanu impact people who were once suffering in such a way that then can have smiles on their faces, especially children. He is generous and thoughtful, and works to inspire kids to pursue their passions, use their talents and dream big. He loves football (soccer) and art. Bright can be credited with many of the painted murals on Adanu schools throughout Ghana.

Emmanuel is very generous and humble, and is always willing to serve others in any way possible. He has a passion for alleviating the suffering of the rural poor in his country, and has dedicated his life to that work. He is also a very careful and responsible driver – safely transporting the Adanu team and our many volunteers between locations while completing our work.

Rita Siaw a passionate teacher contacted us to build classroom for her school. We saw her burning passion for humanity, strong desire to serve others and her quest to improve the quality of education in rural communities. She now works passionately to improve our teacher programs, expand our women empowerment projects and brings a feminine touch to our work.
